Your team learns AI by building
a working tool for your business

Résidence IA is an immersive program in which your team picks a real problem inside your business, builds a working AI tool to solve it and puts it into production with us beside them. 4 days in person, spread over 6 weeks. There is no certificate, and your team understands every part of what it built.

Week 1

Understand

Your team learns what AI can and cannot do and identifies where it could improve your operations, without the hype or the fear that usually surround it.

You leave with A shared assessment of where AI fits in your business and where it does not.

Week 2

Map

The team maps the daily workarounds and hidden manual steps in its own workflows, then chooses one problem worth solving together.

You leave with One chosen problem, scoped and agreed on by the people who own it.

Weeks 3–5

Build

Your team designs and builds a working AI tool with our guidance at each step, and we review the work so it holds up in production.

You leave with A functioning tool your team built and can explain line by line.

Week 6

Deploy

The tool goes into daily use and we work with the people around it until they adopt it. Most programs stop before this stage, and Résidence IA gives it the final week.

You leave with The tool live, in use, and owned by a named team inside your company.

The problem

Why most AI training leaves no lasting change

Most programs fall short in the same places, so the training never reaches the work your team does each day.

It taught tools and skipped judgment

A tour of AI products shows your team which features exist, but it does not teach them where AI helps, where it makes things worse and how to tell the difference.

It ended before anything shipped

The workshop ended and everyone returned to their usual work. Nothing reached production, so nothing about how the business operates changed.

Nobody owned it afterwards

The expertise left with the vendor, so each new idea needs another statement of work and another budget cycle, and the capability never develops inside your company.

What your team needed was the capability to build with AI, and a working result to show for it.

The difference

How Résidence IA differs from typical AI training

Typical AI training Résidence IA
What you work on Typical AI training Generic exercises in a sandbox, disconnected from how your company operates. Résidence IA One real problem your team chose, worked on inside your own workflow and its daily constraints.
Who builds Typical AI training A vendor gives demos while your team watches. Résidence IA Your team does the building while we work beside them and resolve blockers.
What you leave with Typical AI training A certificate and a slide deck saved to a shared drive nobody opens again. Résidence IA A working tool in production and a team that knows how it was built.
Adoption Typical AI training A change-management slide at the end, then an announcement email. Résidence IA A full phase of the program, delivered with the change-management specialists at Drouin RH.
6 months later Typical AI training You call the vendor again for the next idea. Résidence IA Your team builds the next tool itself and can judge when a problem does not need AI.

What you keep

What stays with your people and your company

A new tool changes an organization only when its people choose to use it, so the program develops the tool and the team together.

The participants

Your people

Participants leave with the skills to build with AI, because they have built a working AI tool themselves and can apply the same approach to the next problem.

  • The judgment to see where AI helps and where it causes harm
  • Hands-on experience taking something from idea to production
  • The experience to lead the next project without outside help

The organization

Your company

Instead of scattered experiments, your company gets one tool in production and a team that knows how to build the next one on your own terms.

  • One tool in daily use, solving a problem your business has
  • AI capability that your own team holds and maintains
  • A repeatable method for deciding what to build and what to skip

Who it's for

AI skills that stay inside your own team

Résidence IA is for companies that want to understand and own their AI tools themselves. The lists below show where the program fits and where it does not.

This is built for you if…

  • You want the AI capability inside your team, built by the people who know where the work gets stuck.
  • Your team already deals with a slow manual process and could describe it in one sentence.
  • You've run a pilot or a workshop before and it produced nothing lasting.
  • You would rather have one tool in daily use than a presentation on AI strategy.
  • You can free up 4 days across 6 weeks for a small, committed group.

Look elsewhere if…

  • You want a certificate, which we deliberately do not issue.
  • You would rather a vendor own the AI permanently and bill you monthly.
  • You need the tool built without your team involved, which is what Build & Integrate is for.
  • You expect AI to repair a process that is already broken, when the process needs fixing first.
  • Nobody internally has the mandate to put a new tool into real use.

Technology on one side, people on the other

The technology Builds the tool, hands-on with your team.
The people Handles adoption and the psychology of change.

Adoption is a full phase of the program

Most AI programs treat change management as a slide at the end. Here, adoption and the psychology of change get their own phase, delivered by the Drouin RH specialists, because a tool delivers value only when people use it.

Questions

Questions companies ask first

Do we need technical people on the team?

No. The right participants are the people who deal with the problem every day, in operations, finance, HR or customer service, because they know the undocumented workarounds. We provide the technical expertise, and they bring the domain knowledge and do the building with us beside them.

What if we don't know which problem to solve?

That is the purpose of phase 2. Most teams arrive with a general sense that "there's a lot of manual work" and leave the Map phase with one specific, scoped problem that everyone agrees is worth solving. You do not need to choose it before you start.

How much of the team's time does this take?

4 days in person, spread across 6 weeks. The gaps between sessions are deliberate, so the work can settle and participants keep up with their regular jobs between sessions.

Who owns the tool at the end?

You do. Your team built it and can explain it, and it stays in production inside your business, so both the tool and the knowledge remain in-house when the program ends.

Can you run it in French?

Yes. We are based in Québec and work in English and French, so each cohort runs in the language your team works in.

What does it cost, and when's the next cohort?

Cohort dates, formats and pricing are published on the program site: residenceia.ca. To discuss your situation first, book a call and we will tell you whether the program fits your team.

Next cohort

In 6 weeks, your team can run a tool it built itself

Dates, cohort formats and pricing are on the program site. You can also start with a call, and we will tell you whether Résidence IA is right for your team.
