We collect only the information this policy describes. When the law requires your consent, we ask for it at the time we collect the information, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
Collection and Use of Your Personal Information
Information We Collect
We collect personal information when you give it to us:
- When you send the contact form: your name, email and company or product name. If you fill them in, we also collect your timeline, how you heard about us and your message.
- When you book a meeting with the scheduler on the contact page: the information the booking form asks for, such as your name and email.
- When you write to us or call us: the information in your message or call.
When you browse the site, we record the first-party visit statistics described in Cookies and visit statistics. They do not include your name, your email or your IP address.
How Long We Keep It
We keep the information from the contact form and the scheduler for 2 years after our last exchange with you, then we delete it. If you become a client, we keep it while we work together, and after that for as long as the law requires, for example for tax records. The visit statistics have their own retention period, described in Cookies and visit statistics.
Use of Your Information
Neo Carbone inc. uses your information only to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Contact you regarding the Service, important updates, or security.
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
We use first-party visit statistics to see which pages people read and to fix what does not work.
No personal data is sold or shared with partners, affiliates, or third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.
Sharing Your Information
Neo Carbone inc. will share your information, where applicable, in the following situations:
With your consent. Neo Carbone inc. will share your information for any purpose with your explicit consent.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not share your personal information with business partners, affiliates, or for marketing purposes.
Your personal information may only be shared in the following cases:
- With the service providers that host the site, process the visit statistics and store contact requests for us, and only to operate the Service. These providers are contractually required to protect the confidentiality of your data and use it only within the scope of the Service.
- To comply with the law (authority request, legal proceedings).
- To protect our rights or investigate fraud or threats to our Service.
Under no circumstances is your data shared with third parties for advertising or commercial prospecting purposes.
Cookies and visit statistics
The site uses two cookies, both set by our own domain, and keeps one setting in your browser's storage:
nc_langis a necessary cookie. It remembers the language you chose with the language switch, so that https://neocarbone.ai opens in that language on your next visit. We set it only when you use the switch, and it lasts 1 year.nc_vidis the cookie for our first-party visit statistics. It holds a random ID that our own domain creates on your first visit, so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one. It lasts at most 390 days (about 13 months), and later visits do not extend it. Some browsers, such as Safari, delete it sooner. We never share it with another company and never use it to find out who you are. We do not set it when you turn off statistics or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control.nc_optoutis not a cookie. When you turn off statistics, we save that choice in your browser's storage. It stays there until you turn statistics back on or clear this site's data in your browser.
What we record for each page view
- The page address, such as /en/contact. We drop everything after a question mark or a # sign.
- The page you came from. For another site we keep only its address, such as https://www.linkedin.com, and not the page you were reading there. For a page on this site we keep its path.
- The campaign tags (UTM) in the link you followed, when there are any. They are the only part after the question mark that we keep.
- The page language, English or French.
- The device type (phone, tablet or computer), worked out from the width of your browser window.
- The country you connect from and, in Canada, the province or territory. Cloudflare works these out from your connection.
- The date and time of the page view.
- The visitor ID from the
nc_vidcookie, when your browser accepts cookies. - The name of the organization that owns the network you connect from, such as a company, a university or a public body. We do not keep the name when the network belongs to an internet provider, a mobile carrier, a cloud host or a VPN service, so a visit from home or from a phone carries no organization name. We keep a list of these networks and add to it when a new one shows up in the statistics.
The statistics never record your IP address, your browser details (the user agent), your name or your email.
The contact form
When you send the contact form, the statistics record one lead with the date and time, the page of the form, its language, your country and, in Canada, your province, and your visitor ID. What you type in the form, such as your name, email, message and, if you answer, how you heard about us, goes to Pipedrive, the tool we use to manage customer relationships. Pipedrive never receives your visitor ID or any statistics, and we never connect the statistics with your contact details. When you have turned off statistics or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the statistics record no lead for your message.
Who processes the statistics, and for how long
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes the statistics for us. We keep them 3 months. If we later keep daily totals to compare longer periods, we will keep those totals 25 months at most and update this page.
Turning statistics off
You can turn off the statistics for your browser in the Privacy choices section below. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat it as the same choice and count nothing for that browser.
Booking scheduler on the contact page
The meeting scheduler on the contact page comes from Pipedrive. It is a service you ask for, so it loads only when you open it, with the “Book a meeting” button or a booking link we sent you. From then on, Pipedrive's own cookies and terms apply inside the scheduler. Nothing from Pipedrive loads on the site before you open it.
Privacy choices
This button turns the visit statistics off or on for this browser, and you do not need an account to use it. Turning them off deletes the visitor ID (nc_vid) and stops the count on every page. If you turn them back on, the next page you open creates a new ID. Page views counted before you turned them off stay in the statistics until they expire after 3 months.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we count none of its visits and you do not need the button.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and give you a copy. You can ask for the copy in a common file format, such as CSV.
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Withdraw your consent to a use of your information. We then stop that use, unless the law requires us to keep the information.
- Delete your information when we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for.
To make a request, write to [email protected] or send a letter to the address below. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we answer. We answer in writing within 30 days of receiving your request.
If you disagree with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, at https://www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
